En la Junta General de la Sociedad Alemana Pacifista que se reunió en el mes de septiembre en Braunschweig se presentó una proposición en favor del esperanto. La Sociedad reconocía el hecho de que la lengua auxiliar internacional esperanto constituía un instrumento valioso para la pacificación de los pueblos. Por ello, la Junta de dicha organización recomendaba a sus miembros el estudio y uso del esperanto.
A propósito de esta noticia en la sección de “Notas Esperantistas” de El Socialista, en su número del 6 de noviembre de 1929, se explicaba que el que sinceramente amase la paz no podía dejar de considerar al esperanto como un eficaz ayuda para su consecución. La guerra era, efectivamente, consecuencia de causas económicas, pero los pueblos se prestaban a esos crímenes engañados acerca de sus supuestos enemigos, a los que no odiarían si el aislamiento no produjese el recelo y desconfianza y estos hiciesen posible ver un enemigo en quien solo era un hermano de clase. Por eso, había que acoger ese instrumento del esperanto que servía para romper las barreras del aislamiento.
Así pues, el pacifismo socialista veía como muy positivo para ayudar a preservar la paz el empleo del esperanto. De nuevo, estaríamos ante un ejercicio de demostración sobre la utilidad de esta lengua internacional, para el entendimiento entre las personas.
